The report indicated that he wants to go join Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks, especially with all of the young studs in the pipeline almost ready to join the big club.
During last years 2024 NHL entry draft in the the Las Vegas Sphere, The Blackhawks had the 2nd pick in the draft after picking Connor Bedard with the first overall pick in 2023. Bedard has the honor to present the pick where they drafted the highest ranked defenseman in Artyom Levshunov out of Zhlobin, Belarus.
He played for Michigan State University last season where he scored 9 goals and 26 assists for 35 points and a +/- of +27.
During the very same draft, it was rumored that Kaprizov could be on the move, but there were no further details until now. Per The Athletic's Joe Smith, it is reported that Kaprizov is highly interested in joining the Chicago Blackhawks in 2026 when his contract is up.
