Jacob Trouba blocks major trade creating lots of issues

It was announced today that New York Rangers Captain, Jacob Trouba has activated his no trade clause blocking his departure to the Detroit Red Wings.
Trouba invoked no-trade clause to nix Rangers deal
The news was initially reported by NHL Insider and ESPN analyst, Emily Kaplan who stated there was a set deal in place with the Red Wings, but Trouba decided to block the deal.

"There was a deal in place with the Red Wings, I am told, and Jacob used the power given to him in his contract�and he earned it�to block it, and that's within his rights," said Kaplan in an interview on TSN.
Trouba is still under contract for 2 more seasons with Rangers at a $8 million AAV cap hit. New York is attempting to free up cap space and help reconfigure the team to make them a better playoff advisory.
