A new report has just confirmed that Philadelphia Flyers star forwards Travis Konecny's house caught on fire leaving two firefighters injured in attempts to put out the blaze.

Firefighters were responding to a distress call that took place just after midnight on on August 21st, but it was confirmed that Konecny and his family were not home at the time of the fire. The initial reports described thick black smoke coming out of the second and third floor windows. Unfortunately, 2 firefighters were injured and suffered burns but are expected to make a full recovery.

An investigation has been opened up on why the house caught on fire in the first place to see if there was any foul play due to the fact that the family wasn't even home leading up to the incident. There have been no further updates on the matter but we will be monitoring the situation carefully.
