In tonight's game 5 between the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs, we saw Boston Bruins announcer Jack Edwards call out referee Steve Kozari. With 22 seconds remaining in the 2nd period, we saw referee Steve Kozari absolutely go off on David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy. At the end of the period, it appears that Charlie McAvoy was looking for an explanation from Steve Kozari, then we had the unforgettable call from Jack Edwards.
Jack Edwards was clearly upset that Steve Kozari would not stay and talk with Charlie McAvoy after the period but instead proceeded to leave the ice as soon as possible. However, unfortunately for the Bruins they fell to the Maple Leafs 2-1 in overtime. The Bruins will look to finish the series off on Tuesday night in Toronto, hopefully we will see more great calls and a Bruins victory.
