Former Bruin and NHL Legend Ray Bourque recently spoke to TVA Sports in his hometown of Montreal regarding NHL rebuilding including Boston.
Bourque spoke of how teams like Buffalo and Ottawa have been in a rebuild for years now and it is rough for the fans to watch. He spoke of how teams like the Bruins always make sure to have great leadership which is why even when they rebuild, they do it on the fly.
"It is not in the Bruins mentality a rebuild. In Boston, it will always be rebuild on the fly, without ever starting over completely. We will have to continue to find good players in the draft"
It is hard to argue with what Bourque is saying since the Bruins have only missed the playoffs twice since 2006 and it was by less than 3 points both times.
