Jeremy Swayman started most of the games this past postseason and performed very well so it's not surprising that Ullmark is ranked as one of the top trade candidates this offseason. Also, the Bruins have already tried trading Ullmark but he blocked a trade at this past year's trade deadline with his no trade clause. Ullmark is now entering his final year of his contract.
If the Bruins do trade Ullmark, there could be some risks as Ullmark is one of the top goaltenders in the NHL, however Swayman is clearly the future franchise goaltender of the Boston Bruins. Trading Ullmark, the Bruins could potentially get help to fill holes and put them over the top. There should be several suitors for Ullmark including Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators, and Carolina Hurricanes.
On the year, Ullmark played in 40 games with a 22-10-7 record, a 2.57 GAA, with a .915 save percentage.
