Nashville Predators GM, Barry Trotz has states that the salary cap isn't equal for all teams due to taxes and regulations of U.S States and Canadian cities.

AS the Gm of Nashville, the team resides in a state that doesn't have income tax, meaning that players who sign there are granted more compensation then all Canadian teams and US States that have income tax.

Teams such as the Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars, and Seattle Kraken all have the best incentives for players to want to play there as they get the most out of their contract.

Trotz was interviewed on TSN's program, Overdrive, indicating that these team have an unfair advantage in landing stars.

"It is an advantage because your dollar goes a little bit farther,"

We saw this already this summer as Steven Stamakos and Jonathan Marchessault decided to sign with the Nashville Predators.

"When you talk to Stamkos or Marchessault or players that are serial winners, guys that have gone deep, have had good careers, and made a lot of money, it doesn't go that far," Trotz continued. "But it does help the middle group a little bit. For the elite players, the top players, they're just looking for a place that's serious about winning, wants to win, fits in their window."

Do you you also feel this is bad for the game as players a drawn to teams that have these tax exemptions?
