Yesterday the Gaudreau family held Johnny and Matthew's funeral service where a reporter acted totally inappropriate towards Cole Caufield as he was arriving.

Many NHL players attended the funeral service yesterday to support and say their goodbyes to a beloved friend, players such as Patrick Laine and Cole Canfield were amongst them.

Just last week, Canadiens forward and friend Cole Caufield decided to change his number to honour his hero Johnny Gaudreau. When he arrived at the service, a reporter acted in a disgusting and unprofessional manner, deciding to blurt out and ask him for an interview. You can see a Cole in the video wave his hands up in disbelief.

"I don't understand the urgency to get a quote from Cole at Gaudreau's funeral when he will soon be back in Montreal where he is interviewed almost every week. Let him and the others mourn in peace."

- HFTV

A funeral is not the right time to get a quick sound bite or quote when people are in mourning and close to the deceased. The behaviour by the reporter was completely unprofessional and outright disrespectful.
