Leafs Journalist Unveils Details of Marner's Enigmatic Injury.

Toronto Maple Leafs reporter David Alter did some investigative work to uncover the specifics of Mitch Marner's injury. He ultimately discovered that Marner was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.

"Report: #Leafs Mitch Marner was revealed to have suffered high-ankle sprain last week. But a mild one."

"UPDATE: Mitch Marner officially listed as day-to-day with a high ankle sprain."

Although Marner's ankle sprain is fortunately mild, it nonetheless requires a significant recovery period. Such injuries typically need 2 to 6 months for complete healing. However, with a dedicated medical team and the resources available to Marner, this timeframe might be reduced.

Regardless, the Maple Leafs must prepare for Marner's prolonged absence. Fortunately, their position in the playoffs seems quite stable, so as long as Marner returns by playoff time, it shouldn't pose a major issue.
