Per NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun, Montreal Forward Sean Monahan is being traded to the Winnipeg Jets.
This would make sense given Winnipeg need to keep up with Vancouver in the West after they acquire Elias Lindholm and their need for more offense to go along with their elite defense and goaltending.
More details to come and trade yet to be finalized, but it seems Sean Monahan will be headed to another Canadian rival for a first round pick and a conditional third round pick!
