Brandon Bussi struggles in 2nd preseason appearance with the Bruins
With Jeremy Swayman still unsigned and not end in sight, there are prime opportunities for young goalies like Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro to step up and earn the back up role to Joonas Korpisalo, but it has not looked to good for the youngsters in the first preseason games.
Brandon Bussi got the nod to play the Bruins third preseason game against the New York Rangers, but not like in the past two games where goalies split time, they kept Bussi in for the whole game. It is not necessarily like all the goal that were let in were his fault, but he did not look the sharpest. He faced 32 shots and saved 28 as he let in 4 go by him.

The Bruins network made a strong point on why it was important for the Bruins to have back up plan in case Bussi or DiPietro struggled.
As stated earlier, it is not like every goal was his fault per say, but as a young goalie, you want to make a good impression in every game that you play, and letting in 4 goals is not the best look.
