Bruins announce big plans for Morgan Geekie
The Boston Bruins forward seems to keep improving every year and after taking some major steps in the lineup last year, he might find himself a regular second line role this year.
The 26 year old forward had a career best across the board last year in goals, points and assists proving that he is still getting better with every year and the Bruins are hoping for him to make another jump this year.
Geekie spoke to reporters recently about how he feels he can take on a bigger role with the team this upcoming season after how last year went. He added that he knows not everyone loves seeing him get second line minutes but he feels as though he can contribute more if he gets a bigger role.
The young Bruins forward added that contrary to most athletes Geekie reads everything written about him and knows how much people can rip into him sometimes but he says he uses as fuel.
After last season, the Bruins will likely give Geekie the opportunities to prove himself but it will be up to him on how long he stays in that second line role throughout the season.
