The Boston Bruins decided to make some huge cuts today as 19 players were sent down including top prospects Fabian Lysell and Georgii Merkulov.

Many were surprised to see the two top prospects gone so early from camp since most saw them battling for a roster spot even though they were off a rough start in the pre season.

Since the Bruins decided to get rid of so many players, the lines and pairings for practice have changed quite a bit but there is no update on any cuts in Providence with all these players headed down.

The final stretch of the preseason is underway. No announcement of cuts or travel in the AHL yet. We were able to see a nice review of the roster during the first three games (1-2) .

As the Bruins continue to search for the winger to replace Jake DeBrusk on the second line, they have Morgan Geekie currently playing with captain Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle while Matt Poitras is back to centering the third line.

Prax lines:

Zacha-Lindholm-Pastrnak
Marchand-Coyle-Geekie
Frederic-Poitras-Johnson
Beecher-Kastelic-Koepke
Tufte-Brown-Viel

Lindholm-McAvoy
Lohrei-Carlo
Zadorov-Peeke
Wotherspoon-Sweezewy

Korpisalo
Bussi

Fans were surprised by a lot of the moves general manager Don Sweeney decided to make as certain players that were kept seemed like questionable choices with who they decided to send down.

Bruins should have around a 20-25th best offence. Better hope swayman shuts the door again (and is signed) or else sens take their playoff spot this year

What is there fabrication with brown. We send Lysell down to just keep him here. So over choosing fourth liners over a talented young player. Give the kid and chance and send Brown to where he belongs right now. In the AHL
