Bruins Defenseman to Miss Game Vs Lightning

The Boston Bruins are kicking off a 4-game homestand tonight as the Lightning come to town. They will be without defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk unfortunately.

Shattenkirk missed practice yesterday with an illness and will sit this game out in favor of Parker Wotherspoon.

Shattenkirk has been a healthy scratch 4 of the past 7 games as Wotherspoon gets more ice time over him. The 35-year-old veteran has five goals, eight assists and has a -5 differential this season in 42 games played.

Wotherspoon has no goals, 3 assists and is a +2 on ice. He continues to see his ice time increase and has played in 22 games this season. Clearly the Bruins want to get their younger players ice time to continue to develop them.
