One of the NHL's biggest superstars' contract will be coming to an end next season and that player is the Oilers Leon Draisaitl.

Draisaitl has been making $8.5 Million per year since 2017 and is certainly in line to get an incredible pay day in his new contract as he has clearly outplayed this one.

According to insider Jim Matheson, the Bruins are very interested and willing to move mountains in order to acquire the German superstar.

The 28 year-old currently has 96 points in 71 games this season and has put up over 100 points in 4 of his last 5 seasons. The only season he did not pass the 100 point mark was during the shortened 56 game Covid season in which he still put up 84 points.

If someone other than the Oilers is able to land him, this will be the biggest acquisition of the last 20 years by a long stretch.
