It is not everyday that you have a new player on a team make this big of an impact this quickly, but that is exactly what Mark Kastelic is doing. In his 2nd preseason game against the New York Rangers, he became the ultimate contributor, scoring a big goal and even dropping the gloves and just missing the one assist for the esteemed Gordie How Hat trick.
Kastelic came over to the Bruins organization this offseason in a blockbuster trade that sent Vezina winner goalie Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators, he scored an impressive goal in the 2nd period last night and went toe to toe with Connor Mackey after Katelic hammered a rangers forward into the boards.
Mark Kastelic Vs Connor Mackey
When he was bright over to the B's, he was touted as a large power forward that will contribute with his physical presence and offensive ability as a apart of the bottom-6 forward group,, and that is exactly what head coach Jim Montgomery is seeing out of him.
It sure will be easy for Bruins fans to get behind a player like this as he is bringing back old school Bruins hockey.
