Fans have been wondering what general manager Don Sweeney was thinking when he made the trade involving Ullmark not getting much in return and to add to that, not have Jeremy Swayman locked into a contract which is still up in the air.
Ullmark had his first game last night with the Senators as they took on the Buffalo Sabres in a 3-2 overtime loss.
Despite the loss, Ullmark looked incredible stopping 28 of 29 shots for a .966 save percentage and also making 4 out of 4 high dangers saves in the game.
Bruins fans were quick to point out how big of a mistake it was for the Bruins to let Ulmark go, especially with the current Swayman situation which seems to be getting worse by the day.
Senators fans on the other hand cannot be happier with their new starting goalie as they believe he will help them take the next step in being a serious team in the NHL this season.
