Bruins Player Proves his Value to the Team
Johnny Beecher has been on a lot of fans' minds since he was recalled from Providence again to play for the Boston Bruins. A lot of speculation was thrown around in regards to whether he was worth the recall or not. Well, the non-believers can officially take a rest after his performance in tonight's game against the Habs where the Bruins won 2-1 in overtime.
«It's kind of just part of the business, unfortunately,» Beecher said about his recent demotion. "Nobody wants to leave their teammates and their team that they're with the whole first half of the year, but I think a lot of good can come out of it. I was kind of able to kind of get back to my game."
«Get some more confidence going, getting in a little bit better shape, playing more minutes, more opportunity. So I'm excited to be back up here. I don't know many details. But obviously, it's just great to be back in the room with the guys and hopefully get another crack at the lineup.» Beecher adds with excitement to be back.
Being sent between both leagues the way he has been can be a tough mental toll to take on, wondering if he deserves it or not. The fact that he played the confident way he did tonight can lead us to believe he'll stick to his guns and try to keep on going up from here. Beecher may be here to stay.
Beecher has reached his 40th game played with the Boston Bruins tonight, showing his physicality and smart thinking throughout. He currently has 5 goals and 2 assists, landing him with 7 totals points in the NHL this season.
