In last night preseason matchup, and it being the second time the Rangers and Bruins have faced off against one another in the last week, the Rangers got an upper hand in the first game, and the Bruins were not going to go down with out a fight, literally...
Bruins forward Trevor Kuntar was coming down the center of the ice when where he was going to try and get a shot off, before he was able too, Rangers' Will Cuylle hammered him with an open ice hit that and Kuntar and fellow teammates took exception as a major scrum ensued.
The officials were able to stop the aggression before it got out of hand, but as the game rolled on, the physicality and heated player continued to grow. The hit laid out was considered an act of "revenge" as Kuntar was seen earlier in the game jabbing multiple cross-checks to Will Cuylle's while he was battling for a puck in the in his own goalies defense.
Fans love to see preseason action, but at times it could feel slow, but this game was reminiscent of some of the most physical postseason games in recent memory.
