On this day in 2022, The Bruins decided to trade away center, Erik Haula to the New Jersey Devils for Pavel Zacha in a 1-for-1 trade.

After only playing 1 season with the B's in 2021-2022, Haula filled the gap left by David Krejci as he accumulated 44 points in 78 games. Event though Erik Haula was a solid center, the Bruins were looking for an upgrade and decided to trade him for Pavel Zacha.
Pavel Zacha has played 154 games for the Bruins since being acquired., He has accumulated 42 goals and 74 assists for 116 points, and has been a versatile forward for the team.
There has been much debate on which team won this trade, but it is clear that Zacha was a significant upgrade scoring 30 points more in the same span of time.
