Former Bruins forward set to join new team
News broke today that former Boston Bruins player Brett Ritchie has signed a new contract over seas as he will be playing in Slovakia in the Extraliga.
The 31 year old has spent the last season in Russia playing in the KHL for Minsk Dynamo where he had 2 goals in 12 games for Minsk.
Ritchie last played for the Bruins in 2019-20 where he suited up for 27 games for the Bruins putting up a total of 6 points including 2 goals in that time, while also playing in the AHL that season putting up 4 points in 12 games.
Ritchie last played in the NHL two years ago during the 2022-23 season, where he played 50 games split between the Arizona Coyotes and the Calgary Flames where he finished the year with 13 points.
In his entire career in the NHL, Ritchie played in 391 games between the Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames in which he put up 85 points to go along with 911 hits.
In 391 career NHL games over nine seasons split with the Dallas Stars, Bruins, Flames, and Coyotes, Ritchie had 50 goals, 85 points, and 911 hits.
