Charlie McAvoy was notably missing from practice today which fans starting to get concerned. There was not an incident or play that anyone could notice where McAvoy was injured, but Jim Montgomery quickly gave an update saying the d-man is just taking a «maintenance day».
The news is not as positive for youngster Matthew Poitras, who missed both Tuesday's and Thursday's game with nagging pains. He is still considered day to day after taking a big hit from Rasmus Ristolainen on Saturday. As of right now, he is in a pressure filled competition for a Bruins roster spot, He's competing for a roster spot, the more time he misses, the worse his chances are.
I'm better news, Captain Brad Marchand has returned from his illness that took him out of the game on Tuesday.
