Injury Update: Brad Marchand returns from illness, Charlie McAvoy missing from practice

As the Boston Bruins's announced their lineups for today's practice, there was one notable name was missing from the ice at Warrior Arena.

Charlie McAvoy was notably missing from practice today which fans starting to get concerned. There was not an incident or play that anyone could notice where McAvoy was injured, but Jim Montgomery quickly gave an update saying the d-man is just taking a «maintenance day».

No sign of Charlie McAvoy on the ice this morning for the Bruins.


The news is not as positive for youngster Matthew Poitras, who missed both Tuesday's and Thursday's game with nagging pains. He is still considered day to day after taking a big hit from Rasmus Ristolainen on Saturday. As of right now, he is in a pressure filled competition for a Bruins roster spot, He's competing for a roster spot, the more time he misses, the worse his chances are.

I'm better news, Captain Brad Marchand has returned from his illness that took him out of the game on Tuesday.

Marchand missed a shift in the first period but returned to the ice later on in the frame. However, he did not return to the bench for the second period and the team ruled him as questionable to return.
