Jonathan Marchessault takes shots at former Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy
It is no surprise that former Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy ruffled some feathers and was not loved by the Bruins team, but Jonathan Marchessault just confirmed there is a method to his madness and why he doesn't mind his players hating him.
Marchessault spoke about Cassidy on a podcast confirming that many of the Vegaas players did not like him as a coach, and said that even Cassidy himself says he doesn't care even players like him or not. He uses the anger and dislike from players as fuel to the fire to motivate the team and bring them closer together.
He even got into the screaming matches he and his former coach go into on the regular basis, but said that it wasn't a personal thing, it was to try and bring out the best in him.
Marchessualt did add that he has tremendous respect for his former coach, saying players may not like the way he does things but he does have the right intentions and does it the right way. He gets results, and they won the Stanley Cup together and he can never question his methods because of that.
Weather you liked Bruce Cassidy or not, he is a tremendously successful coach and lead a team to the ultimate prize.
