Through the first 4 games of the preseason for the Bruins, they have focused mainly on giving the young players and prospects a shot at making their mark in order to try and crack the opening night roster. With the Bruins making a huge roster cut, sending down notable players such as Trevor Kuntar, Georgii Merkulov and Fabian Lysell, the B's have slotted many regulars into the lineup in order to get them ready for the regular season come October 8th.
The two most notable names to be back in the roster and who will be playing their first game of the preseason is captain Brad Marchand and newcomer Elias Lindholm.
After 3 offseason surgeries for the captain, Marchand has finally been cleared to play after spending most of training camp taking on a light workload and being in a non-contact jersey. He will now get the opportunity to get his legs underneath him in a full pace game against the Flyers.
Elias Lindholm
Elias Lindholm has been out of commission all of training camp and preseason after he went down with an undisclosed injury on the first day of training camp, he was spotted the last two days wearing the red no-contact jersey, but the Bruins announced he will be entering his first game alongside his projected regular season linemates, Pavel Zacha and superstar David Pastrnak.
