There has been a lot of speculation regarding Hurricanes forward Martin Necas lately as he it looks like he will not be returning to Carolina next season.
According to Frank Seravalli, a deal could be done as early as next week as the Hurricanes are trying to free up some cap space. Multiple teams are interested in adding the top 6 forward including the Bruins.
Frank Seravalli believes Martin Necas could be traded this week.
Frank Servalli: Yeah I don't know if motivated is the right word, but I would say I wouldn't be shocked to see him even moved by Saturday. I think you will see a flurry of activity ahead of the Stanley Cup Final beings. There has been so many teams that are excited to get Necas, I don't envision a path for him to come back to Carolina. I think Vancouver, Calgary, Columbus are at least three of the teams I am paying attention to when it comes to the Necas-front, he has been a very, very hot commodity.
Necas had 53 points in 77 games this season and would be a great addition to the Bruins top 2 lines.
