Injury update: NHL insider reveals the worst for Patrik Laine - Out for the rest of 2024
Per NHL reporter and analyst Steven Kouleas, he announced that insiders confirmed the worst for Patrik Laine as he will be out of commission with a knee injury until at-least the new year.
When the Montreal Canadiens matched up against one of their biggest rivals in the Toronto Maple Leafs, new Habs star Laine suffered a devastating knee-on-knee hit from Cedric Pare which forced him to leave the game. Laine spent several minutes being monitored by team doctors on the ice but ultimately was helped off and did not return to the game.
It was reported just moments ago on SiriusXMNHL that Laine's injury is worse than fans thought, as he will be forced to sit out and rehab until 2025.
Fans have taken to social media to express their sadness and disbelief that Laine will be out after not even getting chance to showcase his drive and talent for the Canadiens in the regular season. They have even gone to lengths to express that Cédric Paré of the Leafs intended to hurt him.
