NHL players tell the league they want shootouts gone

There are a few rules that have come and gone in the NHL but none as controversial as the shootout.
Some players have been vocal about how they like it which is often the skilled guys while others believe it should be gone completely.
Insider Elliotte Friedman recently asked a couple players, specifically Sam Ersson, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, and Tomas Hertl there feelings about it to which all 3 said it should be completely gone.
On the other hand, Bruins superstar David Pastrnak said that he believes that players who score the game winning goal in shootout should get a point for it on the score sheet.
The NHL has changed a few rules over the years which included putting in 3 on 3 overtime but now it looks like some believe it should only be that.
